Not very much will come close to the sweet taste of victory you feel after you blow your opponents completely out of the water with the Nerf Retaliator! They might have gotten the upper hand on you in the past, but with the Nerf N-Strike Elite Retaliator Blaster, the opposition won’t stand a chance. Once you’re done, the only sounds you’ll hear are, “Duck! Take Cover! The Retaliator is on the loose!” Even if the opponent has never gotten the upper hand on you before, with this toy weapon, they will definitely never have the chance to.
With the 4 in 1 flagship blaster and up to six assembly combinations, you will look your opponents square in the eye and say, “Get ready to meet your doom!” The Nerf Retaliator is one of the most popular Nerf blasters with its barrel extension, shoulder stock, assault grip and 12 dart clip.
Even the name means business, re-ta-li-at-or. After feeling its smooth shooting rhythm, you may soon nickname this gun….smooth operator. Plus, with its changeable characteristics, you can be just as pleased with this blaster even when you’re not participating in Nerf War.
Not to mention that it looks amazing! It has a light feeling and is easy to maneuver with both hands, so there’s no need to worry about that. With the efficiency of its direct plunger system combined with the Elite foam darts, it is able to achieve further ranges. How much further? Up to nearly 77ft! So, when its time to take down a target, just load the 12 elite darts into the removable quick reload clip, push the slide forward to chamber another dart, then fire.
Distinguishable Main Features Of The Nerf Retaliator
One of the main features of this gun is the stock. The stock is conveniently designed to enhance stability for better performance giving you a much better chance of hitting your target. For die hard Nerfers, the stock is one of the main focal points of the Nerf Elite Retaliator. Because it plays a major role in giving the Nerf Retaliator a much more complete feel, the stock is an awesome addition hands down!
It also doesn’t hurt that the stock gives this gun a nice sleek appearance and fits snugly and tightly onto the butt piece of the Nerf Retaliator. The snugly fit has a lot to do with the arch on the top, but is also due to the lump on the inside of the stock. This prevents it from moving up and down, which means the stock will not shake loosely about. This is very important because you don’t want to limit the distance of your aim, or even worse, miss your target! Not to mention, it looks awesome on any blaster! That’s right! The stock feature gets even sweeter because it is compatible with any blaster.
The only drawback about the stock is that it is not very solid and can easily break. So, be extra careful with it while in the midst of battle. Another small peeve is that it is too short for teenagers and adults. Don’t let that deter you! Even though it is rather short, it does add additional sturdiness, and gives a good resting point for the chest and cheek. You can feel like a true rifleman as you hit your target from various positions. And, did we mention that it looks cool? Of course, but it was worth mentioning again. If there’s one accessory in the retaliation kit that is pure awesome, this is it.
Another great feature of the Nerf N-Strike Elite Retaliator Blaster is the barrel. The barrel is equipped with flip up sight and its double united design makes it become very strong. This makes up for the fragileness of the stock. Some think however, that it can get in the way and become a hindrance thus reducing range. On its own without a barrel attached, the Nerf Retaliator can still achieve an average distance of 77 feet. This is more possible, however, as long as there is no cross-wind blocking the way.
For a steadier shot, the fore grip on the Nerf Retaliator helps with that due to its great dimensional structure. Although the fore grip is a simple accessory, it really does play a big role in making the Nerf Retaliator as awesome as it is. In and of itself, it is very solid and refined and with it, you will be able to respond quickly and turn corners with ease. When holding the grip, you may be surprised at how good it feels to the touch.
It is good to note that there is a place that connects the fore grip and the tactical rail on the barrel, which is somewhat loose. That is one of the major drawbacks of this awesome feature, but can be worked around so it isn’t a deal breaker. The main thing is that the smaller and lighter size makes it much easier to use. If you’re wondering, “What is the point of the fore grip anyway”? Well, it actually plays a big role in ensuring an enhanced and more accurate horizontal movement. This is important for letting you turn and aim much easier as opposed to not having it. It’s also more comfortable than holding the barrel.
What We Dig Most About The Nerf Retaliator
The accessories set is probably one of our favorite things about it. All in all, its a sweet deal that only the Nerf N-Strike Elite Retaliator Blaster can offer. There are many accessories that can be connected and attached to this large pistol. You can think of it as not just a gun, but as a bulk accessary kit package because you are able to switch out the parts with other Nerf guns. This is really amazing since it is very rare that you buy accessories alone in the market. Not only are you able to create at least 4 variant blasters out of the pieces included in this kit, you can also assemble many more just by borrowing from other Nerf models that come accessory-equipped.
The Nerf Retaliator gets an A+ for being one of the most versatile Nerf models created – ever! There are of course lots of other subtle details that set the Nerf Retaliator XD in a league of its own. Primarily, we are talking about the molding and ability to use. The molding of the pistol, the assault grips, the rifling of the barrel, the flip up sight and translucent clip (which makes for easier viewing of the ammo count) are all very convenient for mature Nerfers. Essentially, it can be tailored into several guns based on what the Nerfer is going for that day.
